NEW WORKSHOP: Isle of Bute 19-21 July 2024

A human figure stands part way down the slope looking out over the water and the faint coastline on the horizon. A shaft of light shines diagonally across the image from the sun in the top right towards the lone figure in the bottom left.

For the first time, Kinship Workshop comes to the Isle of Bute in the Firth of Clyde on the West coast of Scotland. Bute is easily reached from Glasgow via train to Wemyss Bay, then a short ferry ride over to the island.

We will be based in the small village of Kilchattan Bay in the south of the island where we will venture out along coastal paths and into surrounding farmland and various small forests. Bute is a gem of an island sandwiched between the mainland and the enigmatic island of Arran which can be seen from Bute’s West coast.

We will hike to various sites, enjoy foraged foods, gather around a fire on Saturday evening as well as follow Kinship Workshop’s embodied nature connection practices throughout the weekend. Please have a look at the What To Expect page for more information on the general format of a Kinship Workshop.

This is a 2.5 day workshop running from Friday afternoon (arrival day) to Sunday (departure at 4pm).

ACCESS: Throughout the workshop, we’ll be using uneven gravel and earth tracks as well as going off track completely. We will hike between sites walking up to about 60 minutes at a time.

So excited. Have just booked my spot. There was some problems with the payment, I hope I haven’t just paid 5 times…! Please could I reserve a spot to camp in Tom’s garden? I think Jessie will join me too, in 2 mini tents.

    Thanks!
