NEW WORKSHOP: Hebden Bridge 26&27 July 2025

Kinship Workshop makes a return to Hebden Bridge for this postponed workshop from September last year. A 2-day weekend workshop exploring the Upper Calder Valley, West Yorkshire (based out of Old Town). Katye, as a new resident in Hebden, will be taking us to some of her favourite places near her new home.

From our meeting point at Wainsgate Chapel in Old Town, Hebden Bridge (home of Wainsgate Dances), we will spend the weekend both up on the moors and down by the river.
Please have a look at the What To Expect page for more information on the general format of a Kinship Workshop.

ACCESS: We’ll meet each day either at Wainsgate Chapel up in Old Town (which is a local bus ride away (595)/ a 40-minute walk from Hebden Bridge station), or we will agree a meeting place in the surrounding area. There is free parking at most of the places we will visit.
We’ll be using gravel and earth tracks as well as going off path completely. We will hike between sites walking from about 20-45 minutes at a time. The terrain is changeable with steep hills and deep valleys.
There are toilets located at Wainsgate Chapel, but there are no facilities beyond this point. Please bring a packed lunch each day as there are very limited options and we will eat outdoors.
