KINSHIP@HOME

The Invitation

Join KINSHIP WORKSHOP for an introduction to deeper nature connectedness through simple embodied practices and Audio Guides.

Relationship to nature is a fundamental need for our times. We need nature, and nature needs us. This session will encourage you to develop your own personal relationship with nature wherever you live, alongside fellow participants.

The session is free, with no strings attached. And just to be transparent, at the end of the session, weโ€™ll also spend a short time introducing our in-person workshops and our upcoming year-long training, A Year of Kinship โ€” because, to be completely honest, we believe practicing together in-person is always better than online.

I look forward to meeting you soon,
Tom โ€” Founder & Co-facilitator

Meet co-facilitators Tom & Katye

We have over 30 years of combined experience leading, teaching and holding space for individuals and groups. Tom initiated Kinship Workshop in 2016 and Katye began co-facilitating with Tom in 2018

We both have a background in contemporary movement and dance practice, specialising in grounded, body-based ways of relating to oneself and the world. We have varied trainings in somatic movement techniques and outdoor movement training including Helen Poynorโ€™s Walk of Life Programme.
We both draw from our experiences of spending time with other animals in sanctuaries and through wild and domestic encounters.
Katye is a registered therapist in Somatic Experiencing,  a pioneering body-based talking therapy capable of relieving physical, emotional and psychological shock, stress and trauma.
Tom has a ever-deepening wild food practice and has studied with various foraging and ancestral skills teachers including Emily Fawcett and Charlie Loram (The Old Way Immersion). Tom is in training to be a Certified Movement Analyst and Somatic Movement Therapist.

What people say about KINSHIP WORKSHOP

“…it was a truly moving experience”

โ€ฆit was a truly moving experience. I really appreciated the language that was used for the facilitation, how simple and gentle it was but also never too fluffy or much, and that is a delicate balance to strikeโ€ฆ

Munira

“Tom and Katye hold space with loving permission and gentle encouragement…”

It was so reassuring to be in the presence of the stoic wisdom of the Beech treesโ€ฆ The invitation to surrender to the slow-time of the forest was received with a deep outbreath in my body. To respond to and be in relationship with land, birds, trees and each other from this subtle quiet place was a delicious feast for the senses.
Tom and Katye hold space with loving permission and gentle encouragement to explore, in keeping with the trees themselves.

Sara

“They… work from a deep respect for the land we live in”

Tom and Katye are really skilled at creating the conditions to slow down and restโ€ฆ They also work from a deep respect for the land we live in, and as I deliberately paid attention to the land in the way they encouraged, I felt very happy and peaceful in a way that is difficult to describe.
