I’m thrilled to announce the next residential Kinship will be in the beautiful Cych Valley and Pembrokeshire & Cardiganshire coast. The Cych Valley is the meeting place of the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire in South-West Wales. The Cych River passes next to the village of Abercych where we will have our home base. We will be working in the river valley and some of the local coastline as well as having an indoor working space in the Abercych village hall.

Kinship workshops are led by myself, however, each iteration happens in particular geographical landscapes, and Kinship works in collaboration with host artists who live in and have an intimate knowledge of each particular landscape we work in. In Wales, the brilliant Simon Whitehead and Stirling Steward who live and work in the Cych Valley will be our Kinship hosts.

10 PLACES AVAILABLE (6 participants minimum)
Arrival: Monday 1st October before 3pm (public transport by train or coach to Carmarthen, then local bus to the Cych Valley) ready to start workshop programmeat 4pm.
Departure: Friday 5th October (after 12noon)
Workshop fee: Full £160 / ‘Pay-it-forward’ £180 (concessions availability depending on ‘Pay-it-forward’ uptake)

Accommodation: Twin rooms in shared self-catering cottage in Abercych village approx. £20 pppn
