We are very happy to announce a free half-day Kinship Workshop in Richmond, London as part of our 2023 residency at Orleans House Gallery. This workshop also takes place as part of the Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival which this year explores the theme Together & Change.
From our meeting point at Richmond Bridge on the steps outside Tide Tables Café, we’ll walk to Petersham Meadows, we’ll then spend our day exploring our relationship to place through sensing, moving and reflection.
Please have a look at the What To Expect page for more information on the general format of a Kinship Workshop.
There are deer in the Richmond area and as such we will encourage participants to carry out a tick check after the workshop. We also have a tick information page HERE.
ACCESS: We’ll meet at the steps outside Tide Tables Café just next to Richmond Bridge: very close to local London bus routes 65 and 110 from Richmond station or a 10-15-minute walk from Richmond station. There are toilets next to Petersham Meadows.
During the day, we’ll be using tarmac, gravel and earth tracks as well as going off track completely. There will also be a possibility to make adaptions to various access requirements. We will walk between several sites, walking up to about 15minutes at a time.

WORKSHOP TICKETS: We have 20 places available – 10 places for residents of Richmond and Wandsworth (available from 1 May 2023), and 10 places for other participants (available from 24 May 2023).
