Kinship Workshop makes a return to Hebden Bridge and this time hosted by Katye as a new resident there! This 2-day weekend workshop will explore the Upper Calder Valley, West Yorkshire (based out of Old Town).
From our meeting point at Wainsgate Chapel in Old Town, Hebden Bridge – home of Wainsgate Dances, we intend to spend the whole weekend up on the moors or down by the river.
Please have a look at the What To Expect page for more information on the general format of a Kinship Workshop.
ACCESS: We’ll meet each day either at Wainsgate Chapel up in Old Town (which is a local bus ride away (595)/ a 40-minute walk from Hebden Bridge station), or we will agree a meeting place in the surrounding area. There is free parking at most of the places we will visit.
We’ll be using gravel and earth tracks as well as going off path completely. We will hike between sites walking from about 20-45 minutes at a time. The terrain is changeable with steep hills and deep valleys.
There are toilets located at Wainsgate Chapel, but there are no facilities beyond this point. Please bring a packed lunch each day as there are very limited options and we will eat outdoors.
