NEW WORKSHOP: Chiltern Hills 15-17 September 2023

image description: colour photograph of a temperate forest in late-Summer/ Autumn time. In front of a large oak tree in the centre of the image and slightly obscured by green beech leaves, stands a woman with long fair hair looking up at the height of the oak tree, resting her hand on the rough bark of its trunk.

We will be heading to the Chiltern Hills this September for a weekend of foraging, roaming amongst woodlands and farmland, and sitting round the fire – yes – an actual fire! In workshops we often talk about bringing stories to the metaphorical fire – well this time we will actually have a fire to sit around, tell stores at and cook on!

The Chiltern Hills are a chalk escarpment Northwest of London, covering 660 square miles across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire stretching 45 miles from Goring-on-Thames to Hitchin, and within easy reach of London, Birmingham and Bristol by car and by train (with a taxi or pick-up from High Wycombe), we hope you can join us for an Autumnal weekend together.

This is a 2.5 day workshop running from Friday evening (arrival day) to Sunday (departure at 4pm).

Please have a look at the What To Expect page for more information on the general format of a Kinship Workshop.

ACCESS: Participants can stay either at the proposed campsite or more independently in private accommodation.
Throughout the workshop, we’ll be using uneven gravel and earth tracks as well as going off track completely. We will hike between sites walking up to about 45 minutes at a time.
