Sunday 13 September 2026 – NATURE & THE DREAM – Epping Forest, London

Duration: 1 DAY | Location: EPPING FOREST | Price: £60-£100

This one day workshop asks how connection to nature and dream work can support each other – exploring the mystery and gifts of both worlds… from inner to outer, and inner again.

Overview:

In the welcoming and holding landscape of Epping Forest, amongst the ancient beech woodland, we will spend the day in connection and reverence with these surroundings. We will follow a process of retelling and exploring a dream that each of us has selected, before embarking on a solo practice of asking the forest for support to find deeper meaning from the images, sensations and experiences in each dream.

What is Dream Work & Nature Connection?

Dream work is approached from a Jungian orientation. The “dreammaker” nightly gifts us imagery and insight into the contents of our deepest psyche; our role is to pay attention to this material, bringing the unconscious into consciousness. No matter the content, dreams are our inner guide and always mean us well.
Nature connection is the practice of remembering and returning to our intrinsic relationship to the living world around us through somatic, bodily, social, sense-based and cultural activities and experiences.

Highlights:

  • Spending time amongst the ancient beech woodland of Epping Forest with simple grounding and connecting activities.
  • Collective re-telling of each participants’ individually selected dream, supported by the listening of the group.
  • Exploring dialogue with and between the landscape and the individual to explore how nature connection can ground a deeper meaning of the dream in waking life.

You will need:

  • See the What to Bring section for a basic overview of what to bring. This is important so that you have everything you need to feel comfortable and prepared for a day in the forest (the workshop will go ahead, whatever the weather)
  • A DREAM: Please bring a dream of your choosing to work with, either from memory or written down. Note that you will be retelling this dream in the company of others, so ensure you are comfortable sharing the content. Each participant will have a maximum of 3 minutes to share their dream (this may mean you choose a shorter dream or a section of a longer dream).

Workshop facilitators:

Temi Ajose

Temi has worked with body and movement as a London-based contemporary dance artist for over 20 years. Her own choreographic practice explored the intersection of psychology, character, and movement. Recently, her practice has shifted toward depth psychology, she has trained as a Jungian Coach; specialising in dreams and dream analysis.
Just like dreams feel endless and full of possibilities, nature feels the same way – vast, mysterious, and alive. Temi is asking whether the two might be connected: could we be a part of nature’s own dream?

Tom Goodwin

I have been exploring dream work as a kind of soul craft for a number of years. I am interested in the integration of both inner and outer wildness and find the prospect of nature connection and dream work practices mutually supportive and exciting. I understand the experience of being alive to be deeply and wonderfully mysterious, and dream work to be an important component of the unfolding understanding of this journey.

I have a background in somatic practices spanning over 20 years now. Most latterly I have been working with Helen Poynor in her Walk of Life programmes for the past 2 years. I am currently training to be a Somatic Movement Therapist with Laban Bartenieff + Somatic Studies International.
